Common Questions from BARELaser customers

CO2 Fractional Laser Treatment

The Fractional CO2 laser is the hottest aesthetic laser procedure with proven results with little down time and at a great price! This treatment will bring back your youthful appearance and help you turn back the hands of time.

How does the CO2 Fractional Laser work?

The skin is treated one micro portion at a time - repeated thousands of times. Each micro column receives just enough laser energy to impact the aged skin while also stimulating new collagen growth.  It's more than skin resurfacing; it's deep skin rejuvenation.

What’s the cost?

Fractional CO2 Laser Treatments start at $1,000.  BARELaser runs specials throughout the year - so check our Specials Page for the latest on Fractional CO2 Laser.  Following a consultation, our staff will outline your complete package depending on the overall set of services we will provide.

Who can benefit from a CO2 Fractional Laser Treatment?

Each patient presents a unique set of skin conditions. First we start with a skin analysis for skin imperfections like wrinkles, scars (including acne scars), vascular lesions (like broken capillaries or spider veins), enlarged pores, rough skin texture, sun damage, dark spots, sun spots, age spots on the skin, or unwanted birthmarks.  Then we outline a complete program and review – the result is looking and feeling years younger with softer, smoother healthier looking skin.

Can tell me what to expect?

Our staff will start by applying a topical numbing cream.  This will help numb the area to be treated. Once we start the laser treatment, we use the Zimmer to blow cold air on the skin.  You may feel nothing while the treatment is taking place, others have the sensation of being pinched.

What can I expect after the CO2 Fractional Laser treatment?

Immediately after the procedure you will feel like you have a sunburn. There will be some redness and swelling as your body begins the rejuvenation process.

How much downtime can I expect?

It is common to have a few days of downtime immediately after the procedure.  While sun exposure, exercise, or outdoor activities are not recommended, you can expect to resume your normal routine in a few days.

BARELaser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal has been in use since 1997. The treatment is performed by BARELaser's specially-trained, certified laser specialists pointing the laser device at shaved skin. Laser heat disables follicles from producing hair. Hair grows in cycles. Since various hairs will enter their growth cycle at different times, about 4-6 treatments are necessary to disable most of the follicles in a given area.

Am I a Candidate for Laser Hair Removal?

Both men and women seek laser hair removal to remove unwanted hair. Hair removal is commonly done on underarms, legs, abdomen, lip, chin, back, thighs, face, neck, chest, arms, and toes.

How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?

Lasers designed for permanent hair reduction emit wavelengths of light that are absorbed by the pigment in the hair (melanin). If the surrounding skin is lighter than the color of the hair, the energy of the laser is concentrated in the hair shaft, effectively destroying it without affecting the skin or the follicle.

How Many Laser Treatments will I Need and How Far Apart are They Scheduled?

Most patients need at least 6 effective treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Because hair grows in cycles, several sessions are necessary in order to affect all hair on any given area. Shedding of all treated hair should be expected within 3 weeks of each treatment. Once the hair sheds, patients should experience a hair-free period for several weeks. Once new hair comes in again, patients should come in for their next session.

Is Laser Hair Removal Permanent?

Laser hair removal lasers have been in use since 1997 and the Food and Drug Administration approved them for “permanent reduction.”

Is Laser Hair Removal Painful?

In one pulse, laser removes all the hair on a patch of skin the size of a nickel or a quarter. With each pulse, the feeling resembles a rubber band snapping against the skin for a quick second.
